Fashion Week Diaries
For the most part, nail art has been rather bland this season. Not ugly, just simple. Last season there were so many whacky nail designs that it was hard to keep up with, but this time around we’ve noticed tons of neutral, barely there-looking nails. We did manage to find a handful of nail art that caught our attention though. From tiny pink pom pom embellishments to a new take on the French manicure, find out what our favorite nail brands have been up to during Fashion Week!
Libertine (pictured above): These are definitely the most fun nails we spotted at Fashion Week. Katie Jane Hughes of butter LONDON created a collage of colors, fabrics and textures on the models’ nails. She even topped off some of the nails with bright pink pom poms.
Lela Rose: Katie Jane Hughes of butter LONDON took inspiration from mid-century modern furniture design for this gorgeous looking nail art.
Holmes & Yang: Designers Katie Holmes and Jeanne Yang selected the colors, and OPI worked with them on the creation of some awesome fashion-forward French tips.
Tibi: JINsoon took inspiration from a visual language that was develop by nomadic American travelers from the 1920s. We can’t wait to try this look at-home.
Tess Giberson: JINsoon created a distressed yet chic and edgy nail to complement the collection pieces.
ICB by Prabal Gurung: Katie Jane Hughes of butter LONDON created an edgy nail design that was street chic with a sleek downtown style.
The Blonds: CND went all out with nails this season. They created avant-garde nail designs from faces to reptilian armor-like textures, and more. They definitely caught our attention.
Nicole Miller: Katie Jane Hughes of butter LONDON created a glamorous nail look to compliment the collection pieces that were inspired by the beauty of Versailles.
